3/05 BMT POP!

What a tiring week! It was a daily routine of waking early and sleeping late and working almost non-stop in between. To think that I had done the same thing 3 times before.

Anyway, my Commander absolutely loves it. He deemed it the BEST POP he has ever seen. Allow me to explain: He had missed the last 2 POPs due to other commitments. Of course we improved along the way and change the way certain things were done, so definitely, it's better than before. Thank God for me=)

The POP dinner was at Sakura near Parkway Parade. As usual, eat and then talk and then lots of photo-taking. Kind of nostalgic for me cuz it is my last POP and POP dinner. Often, I look at these people during POP dinner and ask myself: Wow, I trained these people ...

Went Asian Aerospace on Friday with DJ. Found out later that daniel, zhen hao and ziyang were there too. Anyway, it was quite cool to see the aerial displays. What shocked me most was to see the SIA's A380 doing display. Boy, that plane is HUGE! Walked around before we went back to camp.

Watched Brokeback Mountain thereafter with Geri as our coming-of-age movie. Well, it's a good movie. Not one that you necessary have to go to the cinemas to watch, especially for those who have yet to come of age yet=p. Lots of nice scenery ...and the movie is quite meaningful. You have to go beyond the hype and understand what the movie is saying. The ending seemed abrupt initially but thinking about it thereafter, I really thought it was a good way to end the movie.

Went down to PK's hall performance last night to support her. Though she came in for 3 scenes only ...Wasn't exactly a great show but learnt a bit here and there nonetheless.

Then today went to Conrad for this exhibition by the Uni of London. Checked out with the Imperial rep why I have not received any offers yet. She seemed pretty surprised but I was told competition is quite stiff fot Maths. Nonetheless, I still think that should still stand a chance.

Bumped into my Anderson classmates on my way home. They were celebrating Liyun's 21st birthday. Must be fate man cuz I have not seen them in like more than a year ...Everyone was like surprised and pleased to see me.(I hope) They asked me why I seemed to have evaporated or disappeared. Well, not entirely my fault cuz they all went AJC together and they still stay in the same area. Anyway, it's partly my fault too. You know how it is that you feel hesitant to contact friends you have not seen for some time. The feeling gets worse over time ...Well, I'm glad to see them and hopefully that can push me to meet them soon. Who ask me to be class chairman last time ...

Anyway, going to Bangkok on Thursday with dan. So, if you want anything, just drop me a msg and I'll try my best but no promises ...

Birthday parties ...POP ...Busy Week ...

Ok, posted some pictures of my birthday celebration. Wanted to post more but some cuz was taken vertically, I cant post it as it is on CD-R format and I am too lazy to go convert it on my hard disk.

Took leave on Monday and caught I Not Stupid Too with von, darius and zhen hao. We were late for the movie ...as usual but I think we all agreed that the film was good. A thing I learnt was to be more generous in dishing out compliments and encouragements, something which I admit is an area I'm rather lacking in.

Other than that, it was pretty much business as usual back in camp. Had photo-taking for this batch done and that pretty much means POP is round the corner. Now is the stressful period of having long days of rehearsals and making sure everything is in place for the BIG DAY. I kind of always dread this period of time but this time is my last time doing it. Hope everything turns out fine in the end.

Remember the personal assistant I had? Well, he got posted out already, with effect from tomorrow. Only found out about it on Thursday and took 2 hours off to TM to get him a gift. After all, he has helped with lots of stuff, like painting my walls ...Anyway, wanted to get him a belt but since all were beyond my budget, I settled for a Billabong water bottle.

Had OC evening after photo-taking on Thursday night. Just ok, seemed like they get worse batch after batch ...well, somehow they found out it was my birthday and they sang me the birthday song. Then spent my birthday working, which kind of sucks but I really had no choice. Thanks to all the msgs and well-wishes anyway=) We are all currently working on a pretty tight schedule, and I just hope that I have enough time to work on making the whole ceremony as good as it can be.

Went for Daphne's birthday party last night. Her buffet was a lot more grand than mine, one that came with the decorations for the ambience and atmosphere. Heard she spent close to $700 and it already came with a 40% discount cuz she used to work for the company. I was like, Wow~ ...Met Yong Soon aka Chris, whom I had not seen since J1. PK and Marcus were there too. We waited for Felicia Chin, a softball friend of hers, to arrive before we cut the cake. The 5 of us got her a watch from 25 hours and a bracelet.

Going to East Coast for Sz Hua's bbq party later. Going to see a lot of same faces as last night as both Daphne and her were form TKGS and the softball team. Felicia Chin will be there also ...People always seem so awed by celebs,, aren't they? Anyway, contemplating whether to book in straight from there or to go home first ...Heard that her present from us was something we got for her in J1 or J2 ...Lingerie ...When I heard it, I was like, Huh? THAT again??? Haha ...cant imagine her reaction later.

Ok, going for my haircut. Will update next week. Going for Asian Aerospace on Friday. Den hoping to meet up with Geri before she leaves. We have been planning to go watch Brokeback Mountain with Wen Fang for sort of a "coming-of-age" celebration. And hopefully got people to go support PK in her hall production on Saturday. And really hoping for nothing to screw up on Thursday ...especially the weather. Ciao~

My Birthday Celebration~

OK, thought I blog a little about what happened last sunday. Basically, I was itching like hell after the drinking session after Geri's party. Stupid, cuz I knew I am allergic to alcohol and yet went ahead to drink but at the same time was kinda pressured to. Anyway, went to see a doctor to get some medication.

The whole thing was support to start at 1 but I took my own sweet time, knowing that people will not come early. Lo and behold, I got my first call at 1230 from shijin. Rushed to prepare myself to go down and entertain him. Daniel followed soon after punctually at 1. Basically, it was like the 3 of us sitting there talking and waiting for the rest to come. Yong Hui and Siying followed thereafter. Den my cousins came. The rest of my classmates (Ziyang, Sz Hua, Weilin, Shen Zhi and Daphne) came rather late purportedly cuz of SZ, as always. Then, it was the CT people (Darius, Zhen Hao, Yvonne, Weilin, PK, Marcus, Wen Fang and Geri). They reached at around 3.

Basically, we ate and talked. Then, the cake-cutting and they were conspiring to "cake" me with the cream. Managed to siam first by sneaking the plate of cream away. Nonetheless, still fell victim to my sis in the end. Later, opened up my presents one by one. Thanks to everyone!!!

I think, lots of people were wondering why I invited so few people. Well, I thought it's better to keep it small cuz too many people, it becomes too taxing on the host and the whole point of birthdays is to enjoy yourself with your family and friends. Had thought of whether to ask the ppl I know in my camp, like ex-recs but there were many constraints so I did not invite them outrightly in the end.

Well, I had a great day anyway, and will like to thank all who made it possible=) But still think too much hype placed on 21st birthdays though ...haha

Happy birthdayS!!!!

Had one hell of a weekend. Went down to Wen Fang's party at Aranda country club on Friday night. Didnt stay long cuz needed to go back camp and I left with June before the cake-cutting ceremony.

Saturday morning was spent supervising the 8km remarch and then rushed down to Allson Hotel for lunch with Dad's side family. Really grateful to my Da-Ge for organising the whole thing.

After buffet lunch, I had a buffet dinner at Rice Table @ Suntec for Geri's birthday party. It's the restaurant near the Toys R Us on the 3rd level where everyone who walked past will look at what people are eating. It must have cost a bomb. Proceeded to Balaclava thereafter. There is supposed to be an age limit of 25 but we had connection to get us in. Wen Fang, Geri and I shared a waterfall, which resulted in me having my allergy reaction and itching the whole day. Really sucks man ...

This afternoon was my turn to hold my party. I deliberately kept it small, with the main bulk being my relatives and the rest consisting of VJ classmates and CT councillors. The bulk came at around 2 plus to 3. Had a really good time and I really appreciate all the presents! Will give more details once I get the photos.

On leave again tmr ...hope my itch go away soon ...

Mahjong Happy ...but lost in the end ...

Had a mahjong session today at Zhen Hao's place with Darius and Yvonne. Lost rather heavily, though the person who lost more than me was Von ...who else? Was just unlucky ...To cite an example, there was a game where I was on my way to winning big ...ended up I did win the game but only won small ...and worse still was that I ended up losing money cuz they won a little money here and there. Simply could not believe it ...

Von came to my house for dinner cuz Darius had to go home and ZH went to meet his gf ...we bought some noodles and brought along the cup noodles ZH bought from Taiwan. We could not finish everything though cuz we ate a lot of chicken wings during our MJ session ...von was complaining about how spicy the noodles were. We den looked through my journal during the Laos trip. Was really funny to read through some of the things we wrote then and to relive some of the memories.

Will be on leave tomorrow to go for driving and to do some things. This weekend will be terribly packed for me ...from Fri evening all the way to Sunday! Got wenfang's and geri's party to go to ...God we are all turning 21 together! Should I take some more leave this week? Hmm ...

Most Entertaining Superstar~ IMOS Superstar

Just returned home from the CNY dinner organised by my unit. Had a great time there and by a series of twists and turns of events, we managed to get an unexpected return out of the series of events.

Went for my first driving lesson in the day. Though I won't say I am very rusty, I still did some stunts which caused my instructor to have several heartstopping moments. Had a bad news from my instructor and that was I am going to drive a new car for my test in march cuz he is changing his car. Hmm ...is this good or bad? I really don't know ...

Went to De Grandeur restaurant at Kallang Theatre for the CNY dinner. One of my instructor, Siva, was "arrowed" by me to go take part in the singing competition. He pulled a stunt on all of us by not coming at the last minute. Well, we ended up scrambling to find a willing substitute or to sabo someone. Ended up, the whole TC plus the PTIs and lifeguards went up together to sing an English song. Suddenly can't remember the title of the song but the chorus goes something like, " I just want to be with you ..." An old-school song ...Anyway, we won Most Entertaing performance and went home with a hamper! Not a bad thing for something that was so last-minute.

Took some photos from Jeremy, will post it later once I get them from him. Ok, gotta go sleep, will have to wake up early tomorrow. Don't know if I am up to it since I have been waking up at 10 every day for the past few days. The recruits must be feeling damn sian to book in tmr ...haha ...
